hey bandit, It is a winter kigo but I'm not sure if it is a traditional japanese kigo. I just spent a few weeks in Montana and observed bald eagles fishing along the red willow banks of the blackfoot river. Hope all is well and have a happy new year!
to me, this reads traditonal in style, though I don't quite know what season. (Minnesota here)
